Warm Detox Soup
Light and warm detox soup for summer nights when your garden is blooming.
Warm Detox Soup
2 cloves garlic, minced
2 medium carrots, chopped
2 cups purple cabbage, shredded
2 tablespoons fresh shredded ginger
2 cups kale, chopped
2 cups cauliflower
2 cups broccoli 1 zucchini, chopped
1 orange bell pepper, chopped
1 sweet onion, chopped
1 cup chopped celery
Fresh thyme, diced
½ teaspoon salt
½ teaspoon pepper
½ teaspoon red pepper flakes
2 tablespoons of fresh lemon juice
¼ teaspoon ground turmeric
8 cups of vegetable broth
Fresh parsley or chives, chopped
Directions
Put garlic, raw vegetables, thyme, and broth in a large soup pot. Cover and bring to a boil over high heat; reduce heat to low and simmer about 15 minutes.
Stir in parsley or chives. Season with salt, pepper, and red pepper flakes.
